What's your musical horoscope? (Put your player on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs that come up.)
Oooh! I love these questions. Here we go:
- "Northern Sky", Nick Drake (gift from Lisa)
- "Rhymin & Stealin", Beastie Boys (went to this concert in my early 20's - comes with a good story I'll have to share some time...)
- "To Go Home", M Ward (saw them at my first show at the Fillmore)
- "Go Your Own Way", Fleetwood Mac (will forever remind me of college)
- "All You Need Is Love", Dana Fuchs (this is from the Across the Universe soundtrack, I haven't seen the movie yet but I am sure I am going to love it so I bought the whole soundtrack on i-tunes)
- "Better Days", The Jayhawks (Minnesota band!)
- "Tell Me Something Good", Rufus & Chaka Khan
- "Birds and Ships", Billy Bragg & Wilco
- "Stacy's Mom", Fountains of Wayne
- "Where Would I Be?", Cake
Huh....pretty good musical horoscope I must say!
Music-wise, what was the first 45, single or download you bought?

I have a very vivid memory of this, not sure which was first but I remember as a kid having a Captain & Tennille 45 of "Love Will Keep Us Together", the Grease Soundtrack record and the Olivia Newton John's Greatest Hits Volume 2 record.
Boy am I dating myself....
Here's a sampling of what I was listening to when I was a little. If you don't know these songs then you are too young and I can talk to you anymore :)
Song List for Olivia Newton John Vol 2:
1. Heart Attack
2. Magic
3. Physical
4. Hopelessly Devoted To You
5. Make A Move On Me
6. A Little More Love
7. You're The One That I Want
8. Tied Up
Audio: Share a song that fits the moment you're living right now.

As if you didn't see this one coming....

Okay, so I just couldn't stop at 10. If I got a #11 it would have been "Down With Disease", Phish and #12 would be "Bad Day", Daniel Powter.
Wow, it was a good Musical Horoscope day. "Bay Day" is the perfect way to end this list. I'll be adding another post later about that....
What song or lyrics are stuck in your head at the moment? What album is it from?

Well, the last song I listen to on the bus from my ipod is usually the song that stays with me the rest of the day. Unless, I turn on my ipod while I am working which means I have a different song in my head about every 3-4 minutes.
Here's what it was most of the day: The Flaming Lips "Ego Tripping"
But I am now listening to "Tiny Dancer" done by Ben Folds, I love ipod shuffle!
Oooh! I like this question!
The number one song the day I was born was "My Eyes Adored You" by Frankie Valli. I don't know the song but it sounds like a sweet one. However, it sounds a lot older than it actually is. For someone with an age complex like me, this isn't good...
However, I was happy to see that "Love will Keep Us Together" by Captain and Tenille was number one a few months later. This was my very first album so that made me happy!
The music the year I turned 21 sucked. Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and the Macarena - enough said....
I hate to even admit this, remember New Kids on the Block? Yeah, I am definitely showing my age. However I did redeem myself by seeing Poison as my second concert. Oh wait, that is just as bad... My music tastes got much better after I graduated from the 8th grade :)
